Our cultural journey begins with a departure from the hotel at around 7:30 a.m. Our first stop will be the majestic Tempisque River, where we’ll observe traditional oxcarts collecting sand from the riverbanks. We’ll then take a short break at a local “Soda” in Belén to savor a refreshing Horchata, offering a delightful taste of Costa Rican gastronomy. Next, we will visit Santa Cruz Town, known for its key attractions including the Catholic Church of the Black Christ. Here, we’ll also sample the famous Coyol Wine, and explore the local traditions of cattle raising and agriculture. A highlight of this stop will be a visit to Coope-Tortilla, where you’ll get a taste of traditional cuisine. Our tour continues to the historic Nicoya Colonial City, home to the oldest church in Costa Rica. We’ll explore the Catholic Church, the Culture House, the park, and surrounding areas, immersing ourselves in the rich history and culture of the city. To conclude our tour, we’ll visit the San Vicente Art-craft Museum, where you’ll witness the local craftsmanship. The perfect ending to this cultural experience will be enjoying homemade snacks in the town, providing a delicious finale to our journey.
